            Sasieni Light - A unique and subtle mixture designed to appeal equally to the English and Aromatic smokers. This blend features a Toasted Burley plug cut tobacco as a base for extra cool and even smoking. The mixture is rounded out with premium Virginia leaf and Fire Cured Black tobacco.             Kingfisher - A distinctive combination of zesty lemon Virginia, Burley, and Perique. All whole leaf is layered together then pressed in cakes until the blend of whole leaf are perfectly matured. Cut and spun to ribbon form, the ribbon is then pressed into cakes for a second time (Double Cut). Then we cut the cake into flake form and packaged in 2 oz tins achieving an even more exquisite finish as time passes. A light, sweet, mellow smoke, subtle and complex, with a flavor curve ranging from lightly zesty through richly satisfying.

          And so to bed - This mixture is absolutely ideal for the evening. Finest grade Virginia and Maryland Tobaccos are carefully aged and blended with Greek Oriental leaf and top-grade Cyprian Latakia. The blend is then specially processed and additionally matured to produce a mellow, full strength smoke with rich flavor and unique aroma.

            Dorchester - A special formulation of six light Virginias, Golden and Dark Virginias, air-cured leaf and a pinch of Louisiana Perique. Easy burning is ensured by the carefully selected cut. The Perique balances the Virginias. A tobacco for the discerning palate.

            HH Vintage Syrian - Vintage Syrian is not new in any way. Actually the inspiration for the recipe origins back from the start of Mac Baren Tobacco, more than 120 years ago. This blend is typical for that time, and it is easy to describe as a “back to nature” tobacco. The taste of the HH – Vintage Syrian Latakia comes from the full and rich natural flavours of the tobacco.

 The reason for calling this tobacco HH is quite simple. HH is the initials for the founder of Mac Baren Tobacco, Mr. Harald Halberg. If you look closely you will find the same initials in the Mac Baren logo, incorporated the shield hold by the lions. 

The basic of the blend is a smooth and yet powerful Latakia from Syria . This tobacco gives the blend the overall “smoky” taste, a powerful taste and yet without any tongue bite. To add a spicy note to the blend, Turkish Oriental has been added. A mix of different Virginia tobaccos from 3 continents add a sweet natural taste. To complete the taste with depth and body, we added a little Dark Fired Kentucky from USA .

            Highland Mixture - A magnificent blend of matured Virginias and golden brown Burleys rounded off by a specially spiced Black Cavendish.             Plumcake - Navy blend. A mixture of fully ripe Virginia tobaccos, sliced, cask mellowed Burley tobaccos, and dark, spicy Cavendish. To give this blend an elegant aroma the blend has been flavored with aged Jamaica Rum.

            Roll cake - Deluxe roll-cake pipe tobacco of medium strength. A blend of twisted Virginia, Cavendish and Perique tobaccos. Spun Cut.

            Scottish Blend Mixture - A mild and lightly aromatic Scottish Blend, manufactured from ready rubbed, matured Virginia tobaccos and golden brown Burley grades, Cavendish and loose, ripe Virginia.

                Stockton -Now it may sound as if Stockton only consists of 2 different tobaccos, but this is not the case. As with all Mac Baren blends, Stockton also includes several different tobaccos from various regions and districts. When Henrik Halberg travels out to purchase the tobaccos from which spun tobacco is made, he pays particular attention to the look of the leaves. For Stockton , as well as our other spun tobaccos, it is an absolute requirement that the leaves are big, whole and have no holes. If there are holes in the leaves they cannot be spun into a durable ‘rope'. But finding whole leaves with no holes has become quite an art. These days tobacco is widely harvested by reapers and consequently small holes in the leaves are virtually inevitable. Henrik Halberg's task is therefore to find the tobacco farmers who are willing to carry out the time-consuming work of harvesting the tobacco leaves manually.

 Stockton is characterised by every eye having a core of the black Dark Fired Kentucky. The dark tobacco contrasts nicely with the light, golden Virginia tobacco and the taste is a composition of sweetness with a smoky undertone. As with all spun tobaccos from Mac Baren, only a light coating of sugar is added so that the natural tobacco remains the dominant taste. When a pipe smoker fills his pipe with Stockton he is assured of enjoying a natural, satisfying taste. This is the closest the pipe smoker can get to the pure tobacco taste.

 Stockton is an excellent example of pipe tobacco as it was smoked 300 years ago, making it a good representative of the old traditions that form the basis of spun tobaccos.

            Symphony  - A harmonious blend of Kentucky Burley, Virginia and Cavendish tobaccos, ready rubbed to deliver a light sweet taste.

            The Solent Mixture - The inspiration for this mixture came to Jørgen Halberg as far back as late 1948, but not until two years later was Solent Mixture fully developed. But exactly what is it that makes Solent Mixture stand out from so many other Latakia mixtures?

 Back in those early days, most pipe smokers smoked tobacco containing varying quantities of Latakia tobacco. Some mixtures contained up to 60% Latakia tobacco, with the result that these tobaccos were totally dominated by the very strong taste of Latakia and a strong aroma would pervade the room. No doubt many pipe smokers found that their spouses objected to the strong smell of the tobacco and that others in the room found the air to be rather unpleasant. Jørgen Halberg had encountered this problem on numerous occasions, which inspired him to develop Solent Mixture. His idea was to develop a Virginia dominated tobacco with sufficient Latakia content to give the pipe smoker the right taste, but which left a more pleasant air in the room - a compromise between the pipe smoker and his surroundings. In other words, a tobacco where the pipe smoker could enjoy the good taste of Latakia without having to endure jibes about the smell.

 Today, just as in 1950 when it was first developed, Solent Mixture consists of 9 different Virginia tobaccos that make up 75% of the mixture. The very special flavour comes from the approximately 15% Syrian Latakia tobacco used in the mixture. Latakia tobacco originates from Syria and through all these years Mac Baren has consistently used the original Latakia tobacco, despite the subsequent appearance on the market of cheaper imitations. To conjoin the sweet Virginia tobaccos and the strong Latakia, Jørgen Halberg developed a unique Cavendish. Using an age-old process, dark-fired Kentucky tobaccos were converted into a flavour-intensive Cavendish. Indeed, the Cavendish developed by Jørgen Halberg is the tobacco that today we call “Mac Baren Original Cavendish”. Exactly which tobaccos go into the making of Original Cavendish and how they are processed is a secret that we keep to ourselves.

 The different tobaccos were now ready and as a final flavour enhancer Jørgen Halberg chose a dark Jamaica rum, which is added after the tobaccos have been mixed together. When the pipe smoker fills his pipe with Solent Mixture, its perfect flavour is his to savour and enjoy: the sweetness of the Virginia tobaccos, the strength of the Latakia tobacco, the slightly bitter smoked flavour of the Original Cavendish, all bound together with an excellent Jamaica rum.

            Vanilla Cream - This is a colorful loose cut blend mixed with cut plug. Manufactured from selected matured Virginia and mild black Cavendish tobaccos, added an exceptional vanilla flavor. This selection gives an outstanding blend with a pleasant sweet and aromatic taste experience.

            Virginia #1 - A ready rubbed tobacco of exceptional and matured Virginia tobaccos, which bring about its mild and characteristic sweet taste.    

            Virgina Flake Cut - It is not without reason that Virginia Flake boasts these qualities. The basis for the blend is found in the raw tobaccos from three continents, carefully selected according to the qualities that each individual tobacco adds to the blend. As the name suggests, the majority of the raw tobacco used is Virginia . And it is of prime importance which Virginia tobaccos are used. The natural sugar content and aromatic substances in the raw tobacco must be 100% harmonised for Virginia Flake to be the tobacco that it is. To complete the blend, a small number of specially selected Burley tobaccos are added.

 The blend is pressed according to time-honoured tradition. Flake tobacco is like fine wine: if nature's raw materials are not allowed sufficient time to develop and mature, the result is less than optimal. This is why the production of flake tobacco is a time consuming and costly process, albeit one that is essential to bringing out its best qualities.

 Smoking a good tobacco is not something reserved for the privileged few, but respect must be accorded to nature's raw materials and to the craftsmanship that makes the tobacco what it is. Flake tobacco is not intended for a quick pipe smoke; it has been created for conscious enjoyment. Simply the process of correctly filling your pipe with this exquisite tobacco raises your expectations - and Virginia Flake certainly realises them.

            Roma - A lively blend of lightly sweet and aromatic Virginias, Maryland and Cavendish in a cool burning double broad cut. Mild strength and delicious.

            Dark Strong Kentucky - Dark Strong Kentucky   High grade Virginias and the finest Kentucky Burleys are combined then pressed and stoved to perfection. Sliced into flakes for a cool and flavorful smoke.

            Golden Sliced - An all time favorite. The highest grade Golden Virginias are aged to perfection then pressed and sliced to deliver a naturally sweet flavor.

            Rubbed Out - Sweet Virginia honeydew is combined with just a bit of Burley and topped with a very light honey for a delightfully sweet smoke.

            Gold Blend - A subtle, delicate, mellow tobacco. A composition of jet Black Cavendish, Bright and Dark Virginias and fragrant Burley. An extremely pleasant note of Hickory Nut, Vanilla and a touch of Cinnamon is added.

            Irish Oak - Originally blended from a rich, dark, heavy bodied Cavendish, this tobacco is made smooth by adding a mixture of Zimbabwean orange smoking grades and aromatic Thailand Burley. It is mellowed using Black Perique blend tobacco from Louisiana bayou. As tradition dictates, the leaf is stored for many years in sherry oak barrels, giving the tobacco it's name and an exquisite mature oaken aroma.

            Irish Whiskey - A traditional Irish ready rubbed blend renowned for it's smooth smoking quality. This blend incorporates various selected Virginia leaf to provide roundness of taste. Kentucky Fired, Indian Cured and Aromatic Thailand Burley are then added to the main blend. Finally, a light spray of Irish Whiskey essence gives this tobacco it's final, unique aroma.

            Sunset Breeze - This excellent mixture is a blend of first choice Virginia, Burley and Black Cavendish. A promise for a unique smoking experience which is crowned by a wonderful Amaretto aroma that also gives enjoyment to the smoker's surroundings.

            Sweet Killarney - A unique mixture of selected tobaccos including Virginia Burley, Maryland blended with some Black Cavendish and topped with a Cream Caramel flavour. To make this wonderful tobacco even more attractive, it is blended with hand-rubbed Virginia Flake which results in a fantastic aroma.

            University Flake - A well known presentation of a style of tobacco allowing the experienced smoker to rub out the flake to the texture preferred. The blend, based on Virginia grades is mixed with Mahogany, brown and orange Virginia and sun cured leaf from India and is slowly pressed for days into cakes of tobacco and then sliced into flake pieces. This style of tobacco is ideal for it's slow even burning rate, suitable not only for restful contemplation but can be smoked out of doors and in any type of weather.

  Pipe Club

            No. 1 - Virginia, Burley, Oriental, Cavendish and couble fermented fire cured Kentucky are blended, then long matured with a top flavoring of natural plum, vanilla and tonka essance (no coumarin).  Medium strength with full bouquet.

            No. 2 - Kentucky, Virginia, two types of Cavendish and spun cut disks of Virginia form the base and are flavored with caramel, honey, plum and vanilla. Mild taste, delicious aroma.

            No. 3 - Hard pressed for more than a month, then broken (ready rubbed) this premium Virginia cake has the flavors baked in, not added.  Cognac, orange and honey subtly transform the tobacco into a gourmet experience.  Mild, yet flavorful.

            No. 4 - A balanced blend of evenly cut Virginia, Burley, Cavendish and Oriental with a distinct flavor that combines malt whiskey, ginger, cherry and vanilla. Mild, delightful aroma.  

            No. 5 - Matured natural Virginia, Georgia Burley, Old Belt, and special black Cavendish in a classic aromatic blend, uniquely flavored with pure vanilla and coriander.

            Light & Sweet - A granulated pipe tobacco that receives its mildness from its high part of Burley that has been added well to the remaining parts of Virginia-Carolina and Old Belt.

                Vanilla Cavendish - A mixture of golden Virginia, Mild Danish Cavendish, Oriental and white Tennessee Burley tobaccos. The Blend is cut to facilitate easy filing of the pipe. Skandinavik Vanilla Cavendish combines the flavor of the high grade leaf tobacco with a deep vanilla flavor.

Tabac Sherman

            Blend 127 - A mixture of broad & very ripe Virginias, double fermented black Cavendish. A wonderful natural sweetness with a touch of apple flavor - nice fresh character, wild cut.   

            Private-Club - A mild-aromatic-spicy taste. This product is a mixture of selected and full-riped US Burley, US Virginia, Golden Leaf, Kentucky dark-fired & Black Cavendish with a smell of Java.

            Sovereign Curly Cut - Classic twist or spun tobacco consists of dark and light Virginia with Perique braided into a rope, matured for 6 mo then cut into small coins.
